Ewan's Archery / Programming Website

My name is Ewan, a B.Sc. Computer Systems graduate from the University of Limerick. I'm also a fairly serious archer; I represented Ireland at a Junior level, and was National Intervarsities Champion / Senior National Indoor Silver Medalist 2003. I started archery as one of the original members of Wilson's Hospital Archery Team, sadly I'm now one of only 3 still shooting, and currently shoot for the UL Archery Club in intervarsity shoots, and Dublin Archers in IAAA shoots. I've also been known to frequent Dundalk IT archery club on a not entirely frequent basis. During the summer of 04 I was also a member of TSV Natternberg in Southern Germany. I also shoot air rifle and pistol for the WTSC. I'm also an admin on SkyNet, the UL Computer Society Network, who host this website. I worked full time for the Summer of 04 as a Java coder / sysadmin implementing and modifying a Dspace server for UL, working remotely from the South of Germany. I then managed to escape UL with an honours degree and most of my sanity. I then ended up doing OpenGL hacking and poking Linux with a stick for a company in Dublin, on a visualization project. It kept me amused until mid 2007. I then went on a training course with another company in Dublin, involving network middleware for computer games. The upshot of all this is I moved to Santa Monica, CA when the training course was complete at the end of October 07. I work (currently on network code for games) for a large video games company that isn't EA.
